Forest managers are assessing the damage from this tornado and the Pike Hotshots are working to remove downed trees and risky snags.
The NWS said on Twitter that the EF rating of the tornado was still being determined.
The closer affects the Devils Head Tower, campground, trailhead and picnic ground.
The Devils Head area, in Douglas County, is a popular one, said Barb Timock, a spokeswoman. The area in Douglas County is closed until further notice for safety reasons. There’s no estimate on when the area will reopen to the public.
