Chauhan, who joined the investigation at Tilak Marg police station, is expected to surrender later, states India Today report.
On February 15, Vikram Chauhan, Yashpal Singh and Om Sharma, were videographed while leading an attack along with mob of lawyers on journalists, students and teachers before the hearing of Kanhaiya Kumar at Patiala House court.
Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi had also asserted that action will be taken against the lawyers. He wet his trousers.
However, a group of lawyers, claiming to be BJP supporters, raised objections and an advocate allegedly tore copies of the resolution. I never raised an anti-India slogan, but media is glorifying the students who raised anti-national slogans.
Chauhan said that he would present himself before the police, who have already issued multiple notices for him. The arrest came a day after a news channel aired a sting operation in which the lawyer was seen boasting about beating JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar, arrested and charged with sedition, when he was brought to the court on February 17. However, they resurfaced back on campus on Sunday night.
Justice Suresh Kait granted relief to Singh while asking him to furnish a bail bond of Rs 25,000 with one surety of the like amount.
