State Patrol Releases Video of Train/Semi Accident

No matter how many times you watch, you still expect the guy to hit the brakes.

The trooper had just pulled over a semi-trailer for a routine inspection in Iron Mountain, Minnesota.

Minnesota State Patrol recently released a police dashcam of the accident that took place last month in northern Minnesota.

The trooper is seen pausing briefly and then driving down the tracks to where the truck and locomotive finally came to a stop. The driver seemed incredulous that he didn’t see the lights or hear the train’s horn because he was preoccupied watching a vehicle ahead of him turn onto a frontage road. We’re going to go with, “Shit”.

The 67-year-old truck driver from Iron, Minnesota suffered a minor laceration near his eye.

The video starts with the truck stopped a short distance away from the rail crossing with four sets of flashing red lights and a stop sign all clearly in the driver’s view.

The truck driver was eventually cited for failure to stop at the tracks.
