Trump Wins Nevada With Latino And Women Voters

Donald Trump claimed victory in Nevada’s Republican caucuses Tuesday night, notching his third consecutive win. Rubio took a close second place with almost 29 percent of the vote, coming in with almost 2,000 more votes than Cruz, who tentatively landed in third place with around 21 percent. “We’re the most loyal people”. “Soon, the country is going to start winning, winning, winning”.

Mr Trump responded angrily to a protester at a Las Vegas rally on the eve of the caucuses, saying: “I’d like to punch him in the face”. “The people of Iowa and New Hampshire and SC have spoken and I really respect their decision, so tonight I am suspending my campaign”, he announced after the result. But he still hasn’t won a single state.

Unlike last Saturday’s contest when Trump walked away with all 50 pledged delegates, Trump will win a proportion of the delegates from Tuesday’s caucus based off the final statewide tally.

Rubio was repeatedly asked why he refused to attack Trump to try to stop his momentum headed into Super Tuesday. Marco Rubio and Gov. John Kasich, but the Trump campaign has been unbound by conventional wisdom since its inception.

Sixty-one percent said they wanted someone in the White House from outside the political establishment, while just 33 percent backed someone with government experience.

The odds are seemingly stacked against Cruz going forward. Ted Cruz are vying for second place. Yet he lost both states to Donald Trump, finishing fifth in New Hampshire and second in SC.

The sweeping win in the Nevada caucuses shows the breadth of Trump’s appeal: he won in previously untested demographics and proved his ability to command a traditional ground-game caucus after losing in Iowa. A candidate needs at least 1,237 to clinch the party’s nomination and go on to the general election in November.

Trump has taken heat for controversial comments he’s made about immigrants and Muslims, but was still victorious in the first primary or caucus state with a more diverse electorate.

Mr. Trump was at 36 percent support among likely Republican primary voters in the national poll from Rasmussen Reports released Tuesday.

An tally early Wednesday morning with 96 percent of the votes in showed Trump in the lead with almost 46 percent of the vote.
