Michigan GOP Chair Wants Trump to Stay Away From Party Fundraising Event

Republican presidential candidate Lindsey Graham hit back at Donald Trump on Wednesday, slamming him as a “political vehicle wreck” that has no chance of winning the nomination.

The controversial Trump is scheduled to be the featured speaker at the Lincoln Day fundraising dinner held by the Genesee and Saginaw County Republicans.

This, after Perry denounced Trump’s campaign as a “cancer on conservatism” and “barking carnival act” in a speech that laced into “Trumpism: a toxic mix of demagoguery, mean-spiritedness and nonsense that will lead the Republican Party to perdition if pursued”.

Trump, whose financial disclosure records just went public today, is the current GOP frontrunner.

Graham ended his video by saying, “This is for all the veterans”, a jab at Trump’s much-criticized remark about veteran and senator John McCain’s captivity in Vietnam.

Hector Garza, president of Laredo border agents, told reporters he was looking forward to giving Mr Trump “a boots on the ground perspective”. That feud was sparked by his comments about immigrants last month but accelerated when he mocked Arizona Sen.

“How could anybody wanting to be commander in chief even suggest that John McCain and people like him are less than heroes?”

Trump, the bombastic billionaire whose candidacy has rattled the 2016 race, said Thursday on Fox News he had been invited to Laredo by “border patrols and they want to honor me”.

The video comes almost 24 hours after Trump, during a speech on Tuesday, gave out Graham’s phone number.

“I’ll have to see how I’m being treated by the Republicans”, Trump said, when asked if he would make an independent run.

“Don’t be a jackass”, Mr Graham said.

“I think the issue’s been pretty well ventilated”, McCain said later.

Trump’s presidential campaign has affected his bottom line beyond just what he’s putting up to finance his run. The leader of the free world shouldn’t waste all his time and energy retaliating whenever someone calls him a jackass.

On Wednesday, Republican favourite Jeb Bush criticised Mr Trump’s rhetoric on immigration and his comments on Mr McCain but said his supporters had “legitimate concerns”. I said, this guy was over here.

“These are tremendous people, these are tough people“, Trump said.
