Clinton Burns Sanders In NV Heads To SC
“The Hillary Clinton campaign has enough funding, has a wide enough reach that she and her campaign staff are able to reach into North Carolina even though the primary here isn’t until mid-March”, said Ferrel Guillory, a UNC journalism professor.

Between his second and third victories, Mr. Trump had raised his rhetoric an extra notch, by recounting approvingly an unverified rumour about an early 20 century American general who killed opponents with bullets dipped in pig’s blood; and by declaring that he wanted to punch a protestor at a rally. “Thank you, South Carolina”, said Rubio.
An ABC News analysis said female caucus-goers in the state are favoring Clinton over Sanders.
All of that points to the need for Cruz or Rubio to really get out of the race soon for there to be any hope of stopping Trump.
But, as FiveThirtyEight noted, Nevada’s voters are mostly old.
He is in fact getting more of them as he won a massive victory in the Nevada caucuses, leading his nearest rival Senator Marco Rubio by at least 22 points. Sanders supporters also point out Nevada is not a victor take all state. Bernie Sanders’ list of celebrity endorsements on his campaign website, was recently campaigning for Hillary Clinton in Nevada.
And Rubio criticized Trump for substituting anger for vision. Polls showed it very tight heading into it and they absolutely needed this victory and they have a win.
Those traits were on display in Iowa and again today in Nevada.
Count Tracy Brigida, fed up after her husband was laid off from his mining job, among those caucusing for Trump. No bank can be too big to fail, no executive too powerful to jail, ‘ which was the clip that Todd played for Sanders, she also brought up Wall Street in the context of campaign finance reform.
“He’s the most level-headed”.
“I think the jury’s out”, said Philip Johnston, former chair of the Massachusetts Democratic Party and a Sanders supporter.
It was Cruz for Megan Ortega, who declared: “He’s consistent, he’s bold and he’s a class act”. Speaking with CBS from the ground, he acknowledged the uphill battle he faces in winning over new voters who may be unfamiliar with the once-fringe candidate. About 2 in 10 want one who “tells it like it is”. So 53% of Republican voters did not choose Trump, and yet he was the victor – by a landslide.
The results in Nevada are particularly crucial, because it is the first state with a significant minority population to vote for a presidential nominee, and is expected to set the tone for how influential minorities will be in the race.

Entrance polls of Nevada voters found that a third said the economy was their major concern, while a quarter cited income inequality – the centerpiece of Sanders’ campaign.
