Tom Hardy Dons Loincloth in First ‘Taboo’ Trailer
Oscar-nominated Tom Hardy, who was in “The Revenant” and “Mad Max: Fury Road” a year ago, rides the line between London gentleman and savage on the event series for FX “Taboo“. The show, which will air on BBC One in the U.K. and on FX in the United States, is co-produced by Hardy and director Ridley Scott. The first trailer comes to us as production is ongoing in London.

“Taboo” is directed by Kristoffer Nyholm and marks the third collaboration between Hardy and Knight following “Locke” and “Peaky Blinders“. Hardy’s monologue in this trailer alone is enough to get me excited to see how this series turns out, not to mention the cast including Jonathan Pryce and character actor Michael Kelly.
Inheriting his father’s shipping empire, James K. Delaney is left presiding over an ailing business, and it’s one that’s attracted some questionable customers in recent times. And it looks like there’s plenty of people who want him to fail.
Tom Hardy is an acting master.

Sounds super intriguing. You might be asking – are you sure there’s only eight episodes? Yep. But his father’s legacy is a poisoned chalice, and with enemies lurking in every dark corner, James must navigate increasingly complex territories to avoid his own death sentence.
