Charlie Hunnam Steams Up Entertainment Weekly’s Latest Cover!

The story follows a young King Arthur as Merlin teaches him how to become a powerful leader. Charlie as Arthur appears on the new issue of Entertainment Weekly along with the cover line, “Is that a sword in your hand, or are you just happy to see us?” The pair are bringing a Jax-ian edge the director thought the man so desperately needed, and they hope fans of Arthur wont be too offended. According to the filmmaker, he knew he had to make changes to the source material right off the bat.

“I think where the pitfall has often been is trying to make King Arthur bland and nice, and nice and bland”. While Guy Ritchie has a few blemishes in his long career, one thing he is incapable of is making a boring movie. And neither is this King Arthur – he was raised by prostitutes and “street-wise hood”, as the magazine puts it. “He’s a little bit rough around the edges, but he’s basically a survivor”. Hes a hustler. Hes a street kid. Instead, this King Arthur will have “harder edge to him than people would imagine”, Hunnam said before stating that it’s a “classic Guy Ritchie” character. However, where King Arthur is different from Ritchie’s other films is in its treatment of the fantasy element. Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur (more on that colon in a second) will feature “giant snakes, massive war elephants, and a monstrous viking-like creature known as The Nemesis”, per E.W.

Charlie Hunnam may have ditched his Sons of Anarchy biker jacket but he is still as sexy and rugged as ever in his latest role.

Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur also stars Astrid Berges-Frisbey (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides), Jude Law (Spy, Sherlock Holmes), Eric Bana (Hulk, Hanna), and Djimon Honsou (Furious 7, Guardians of the Galaxy).

Hunnam, who was most recently seen on the TV series “Sons of Anarchy“, will be playing King Arthur in the 2016 release “Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur“, which is directed by Guy Ritchie. At least this team seems somewhat prepared for the potential onslaught. Though, when it comes to mad fans on the Internet, there are always going to be those with “ruined childhoods”.
