Pokemon Sun and Moon Officially Announced for Nintendo 3DS
Nintendo has officially announced the next set of Pokemon games, Pokemon Sun and Moon, during a special Direct event to celebrate 20 years of the franchise.

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been three years since Pokemon X & Y hit the scene.
At this point in time, a release for Holiday 2016 is the only known thing about Pokemon Sun and Moon, but there are still plenty of other things to keep fans entertained in the wait for more concrete details.
Sadly, that’s about all the information Nintendo was willing to share.
It wasn’t mentioned whether these new games are a new generation or continuing the existing ones, but the expression “a new era” was used. During a brief Nintendo Direct live media broadcast, the company revealed the titles as Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon. These include English, Japanese, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Korean and both traditional and simplified Chinese – theoretically adding millions of players to an already massive fanbase.
Today also marks the actual release for the original Pokemon games (Red & Green) in Japan and has been dubbed “Pokemon Day”.

The announcement came alongside the reminder that you can pick up the original Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow tomororw in the Nintendo 3DS eShop.
