Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel speaks with media members following the team’s 30-13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks n an NFL football game, Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, in Seattle. She said the 2012 Heisman Trophy victor forced her into his auto and hit her repeatedly, resulting in a ruptured eardrum.

The status of the case took a step forward on Thursday when the Dallas Police Department released a statement announcing that they have completed their investigation into what went on. ESPN.com’s Pat McManamon also cited a source who said the Dallas Police Department obtained Crowley’s medical records as part of its investigation.

“He grabbed me by my hair and threw me back into the vehicle and got back in himself”. Both his agent and marketing agency have dropped him from representation, and the Cleveland Browns for which Manziel serves as a quarterback have indicated they’ll cut him from the team as early as next month.

Police haven’t interviewed Manziel, but spoke to several other witnesses. “I realized immediately that I could not hear out of that ear, and I still cannot today”. She accused Manziel of getting into the driver’s seat and beginning to drive her.

“I don’t want to make a big deal”, she said.

“We’ve been clear about expectations for our players on and off the field”, Browns executive vice president Sashi Brown said in a February 2 statement.

Some issues with the case include the fact that police were unable to locate Manziel on the night of the incident to question him. “Johnny’s continual involvement in incidents that run counter to those expectations undermines the hard work of his teammates and the reputation of our organization”.
