New Ioniq is Hyundai’s car(s) of the future
As an important milestone for the company’s sustainability energy, the vehicle benefits from a new Kappa 1.6-liter GDI direct injected petrol four-cylinder in the Hybrid and Plug-In versions, which delivers 105PS (104hp) and 147Nm (108lb-ft) of torque paired to a six-speed double clutch transmission. A whole suite of safety systems, including autonomous emergency braking, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist will all be available.

Earlier this week we had the chance to meet the IONIQ Electric for the first time and now Hyundai has released full details regarding the IONIQ trio in European specification.
These two new editions will sit alongside the Ioniq Hybrid, which is unable to travel purely on battery power but with the electric and petrol motors working in tandem offers a 185 km/h (115 mph) top speed and Carbon dioxide emissions of 79 g/km.
On March 1st, 2016, Hyundai will electrify the 2016 Geneva Auto Show with the introduction of the all-new IONIQ, which was announced last month as the world’s first vehicle offering three electrified powertrains (hybrid, plug-in hybrid, all-electric) on a single body.
As expected, the Ioniq Hybrid and Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid use some of the same powertrain components. The hybrid and plug-in hybrid get open grilles with blue accenting on the bumper.
The model range will consist of three variants a standard hybrid, a plug-in hybrid and a fully electric example.
