Gyllenhaal plays boxer seeking redemption in Southpaw
The series should get a much-needed shot in the arm with “Creed“, due to hit theaters in November.

The “Southpaw” actor says he fell in love with his on-screen daughter, Oona Laurence, the minute she walked in the door.
Director Antoine Fuqua, a boxing fan himself, insisted that Gyllenhaal not play a boxer, but actually become one. From early movies like Donnie Darko to the charming, closeted sociopath in Nightcrawler to the reigning boxing champ in his latest film, Southpaw, he’s built his career by pushing boundaries. “I didn’t know how to box when I started”. He’s still a friend even though there’s fucked up shit there, it’s because of his temperament dealing with other fighters doing things that they want all of the money.
The radical change in Gyllenhaal’s appearance is just one of many recent Hollywood transformations making waves in the movie industry.
“I am not a father yet, but it is definitely a dream of mine, should I be lucky to have that to happen”, he told “Entertainment Tonight.” “I think he’s unbelievable”.
Jake Gyllenhaal and 50 Cent looked quite handsome on their suit and ties, while Rachel McAdams showed a little skin with an off-the-shoulder dress which also feature a glimpse of her midriff. My brother said to me a few weeks ago, all we leave behind is the wake of our live, that’s all we have.
“I was wrapping his hands and getting prepared him prepared to go out for his first fight scene, and he kept complaining about his hands…He kept complaining, because he was nervous”.
The main role was originally planned for hip-hop star Eminem, who was the executive producer of the film’s soundtrack. The training montage is insane because of his music. But hitting the gym for hours a day wasn’t the biggest challenge he faced, Gyllenhaal confessed at Monday’s New York premiere of “Southpaw“.

“I’m here to bring moms and hip-hop together”, he said. He was like, ‘Alright.’ He’s asking ’cause he knows we watch the sport enough.
