New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie endorses Donald Trump
Christie ended his own bid for the White House earlier this month after he finished in tenth place in the Iowa caucus and sixth place in the New Hampshire primary.

Christie said Trump was hands-down the better choice than a first-term senator who “didn’t show up for work”.
Now that Chris Christie has endorsed Donald Trump, there’s a whole new vein of political humor to be tapped (think bridge and traffic jokes).
Christie said his family and Trump’s family have been friends “for over a decade” and said there’s “no one who is better prepared” to be commander-in-chief than Trump.
The attacks followed similar outbursts during Thursday night’s 10th Republican TV debate in Texas.
Trump also went after the press.
“Is Texas going to be Trump country?” Ted Cruz. “Cruz lies, but at least it’s reasonable lies”. Marco Rubio of Florida. A candidate must have 1,237 state delegates to win the Republican nomination at the party’s convention this summer. Trump said he did have “respect” for other candidates, according to CNN.
Rubio has been trying to position himself as the party establishment’s candidate, but the Christie endorsement suddenly made that more of a challenge.
Trump spent much of Friday’s news conference and rally ripping Rubio, and zeroed in on that debate night featuring Christie’s attacks.
“Generally speaking I’m not big on endorsements”, Trump said.
Cruz piled on, questioning the NY businessman’s conservative credentials. Trump charged that before the debate, “He was putting on makeup”.
Republican presidential candidate, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson speaks during a Republican presidential primary debate at The University of Houston, Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, in Houston. “Trump is the man. That’s all there is to it”.
Trump insisted that even though officials in Mexico have said they won’t pay for his planned wall, “Mexico will pay for the wall”. Christie accused him of parroting the same talking points repeatedly and said a president should be able to think on his feet.
Trump called Rubio a “total choke artist” and referenced his water break during his response to President Obama’s past State of the Union, referencing “that catastrophe”.
“He should be ashamed of himself and he should apologize”, declared Trump.
A former communications director for Sen. Lindsey Graham derided Trump and said the party had gone “batshit insane”.
Earlier on Friday another rival, Senator Marco Rubio, launched a fresh verbal assault against Trump, calling the billionaire “a con artist” during a round of Friday morning television interviews.

Cruz is widely disliked by fellow Republicans.
