James Franco to publish book about Lana Del Rey
“Flip Side: Real and Imaginary Conversations with Lana Del Rey” is a 100 page book of stories – some real some fictitious, as the title suggests – and photographs shot by Franco and others.

James Franco has paid tribute to his friend Lana Del Rey with a new book about the pop star.
It will be released in March 2016 and James previously revealed Lana, 30, didn’t want to sit down for an interview with him, even though the pair are close friends.
The book is co-authored, all-too-fittingly, by the traditional-form-challenging David Shields, who, in his “manifesto”, Reality Hunger, questioned the divide between fiction and nonfiction. It looks like James Franco is the man to call. “She wasn’t transitioning between the high and low registers of “Video Games” very smoothly, and she didn’t know what to do with her free hand”. “When I watch her stuff, when I listen to her stuff, I am reminded of everything I love about Los Angeles”.

“The thing about singers, especially the ones who write their own lyrics, is that everyone reads the person into the songs”. However, the 30 year old has reportedly not agreed to be interviewed by Franco for the book, insisting that the words of the book not be obscured by anything she has to say. “It’s nearly almost better if you don’t get me exactly, but try”. “It’s about her, and it’s not about her. Just like her music”.
