Trump comes out on top in Nevada

Billionaire Donald Trump won another state in his bid to be the Republican nominee for president with a decisive victory Tuesday in the western USA state of Nevada.

The contest was the fourth for the Republican presidential candidates, with Mr Trump so far winning in New Hampshire and SC.

“Of course if you listen to the pundits, we weren’t expected to win too much”.

In spite of all this, Cupp still does not believe that Trump has what it takes to win the general election.

“We love Nevada”, Trump told supporters at the Treasure Island casino on the Las Vegas Strip as he declared victory.

“Because we need change and we need Trump, we really do”, says one voter.

The lopsided result underscored the enormous challenge Mr Trump’s rivals face as the candidates head into next week’s all important “Super Tuesday” contests involving 11 states.

The real battle in Nevada was for second-place, which narrowly went to Sen.

“I think he’s here for the people and I think he wants to win”, adds Raquel Karagines. “We are one step closer to turning the pages on the failures on the Obama-Clinton disaster”, Cruz said. Ted Cruz and Florida U.S. Sen. Later on, he touted his numbers among Evangelicals, and winning among young voters, old voters, highly-educated, “poorly-educated” voters, and Hispanic voters.

“I want to thank the great people of Nevada”, the Texas senator said, “and I want to say I can not wait to get home to the great state of Texas”.

He leads in polls or is favored in every state except Texas and perhaps Virginia. A three or more candidate race benefits Donald Trump.

A poll of voters by CNN showed Trump had supporters across most demographic groups.

“Last time, Mitt Romney got over 50 percent, so Donald Trump actually underperformed [what] Mitt Romney did, not once but twice in this state”, Rubio said on “Fox and Friends”, referring to voting in 2008 and 2012.

The remaining two candidates for the Republican presidential nomination, Ben Carson and Ohio Governor John Kasich, lagged far behind with 4.8 percent and 3.6 percent respectively.
