Disclosure: Donald Trump is the father-in-law of Jared Kushner, the publisher of Observer Media.
Christie surprised many pundits by backing Trump, who has run an unconventional, sometimes controversial campaign opposed by many in the GOP establishment. “Oh no wait, he’s going to protect you from immigrants taking your jobs – Well why is he hiring foreigners to do the jobs at his hotels that Americans are trying to get?” Marco Rubio, by a staggering 18%.
Rubio hasn’t stopped since, slamming Trump as a “con artist” and also matching the personal nature of Trump’s attacks, saying Saturday, “Donald Trump likes to sue people”.
Those biting broadsides are a far cry from a few hours earlier, when Cruz was deploring the escalating rhetoric between Trump and Rubio.
Last month, the governor said his state was too easy on drug crimes and suggested bringing back the guillotine for serious offenders, and drew controversy for using racially-charged language to explain his state’s drug epidemic.

Donald Trump easily won the Nevada Republican caucuses on Tuesday, finishing more than 20 points ahead of Florida Sen.
Rubio repeatedly attacked Trump Saturday at a rally in Kennesaw, which is about 27 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta.
The real estate billionaire, once merely an oddity of epic proportions in the presidential race, breezed to victory in Nevada tonight, winning his third consecutive state and maintaining his status as the front-runner for the Republican nomination. Add to that the fact that he is the governor of OH – the OH that has 18 electoral votes – and Kasich looks a lot more viable as vice president.
Trump didn’t wait long to respond to Rubio. We’re going to build the wall, you know that.

“I think part of it is he’s not as rich as he says he is”, Rubio said. “And his name’s Donald Trump”, Christie said. Brewer has also been rather outspoken on immigration in other respects and perhaps gained her highest degree of public notice for what seemed to be an argument between her and President Obama on an airport tarmac back in 2012.
