Third-Person Dungeon Crawler Necropolis Makes Jump to Xbox One This Summer

Necropolis has been confirmed for a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release, with the caveat being that the PC version has been delayed in order to release simultaneously with its console counterparts in the Summer. “BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc.is a terrific publisher and truly understands how to collaborate with an independent studio like ours”.

The same source from VentureBeat said Harebrained Schemes has a total of 23 people in the team.

He ended his declaration by saying that the additional months will only make Necropolis – “A Diabolical Dungeon Delve” better for both consoles and PC.

The Dark Souls publisher will put the game out on new-gen consoles this (Northern Hemisphere) summer, while developer Harebrained Schemes will self-publish on Steam.

Besides the similar combat system and controls to Dark Souls, Necropolis includes elements from roguelikes (you have one life) and will include a four-player co-op mode for those that need a little bit of extra help when facing the game’s challenges. Have no doubt, you’re going to die – often! – but you’ll improve your combat skills, available upgrades, and dungeon know-how with every playthrough, bringing you one step closer to the exit.

Necropolis is being pitched as a “hardcore” game that features permadeath, so if you kick the bucket, it stays kicked and you’ll have to jump back in with a new adventurer. Its environment is filled with ghastly beasties in ever-changing, procedurally generated dungeons.
