Conor McGregor Hitting the Heavy Bag Looking Like a Beast

Before the end of the news conference, which was open to the public and made up of a pro-McGregor crowd despite being held on Diaz’s home turf, the Irishman belittled the injury to Dos Anjos. McGregor has never fought as a welterweight and Diaz is 2-2.

“I like Nick’s little brother”, McGregor said, referring to Nate Diaz’s brother, Nick, a two-time world champion fighter.

“His soft body and his lack of preparation, he will not be able to handle the ferocity”.

As expected by many, both men hurled explicit tirades at each other during a press conference on Thursday, February 25 at the UFC Gym in Torrance, California. The first discussion was the money issue, we resolved that. Ibuprofen”, said McGregor. “If I jumped under an X-ray, the doctor would slap me and say: ‘What are you doing, kid? “But really it doesn’t matter what weight divisions or what belt is on the line, because I should create my own belt, because I am my own belt”. Featherweight, lightweight, it’s the McGregor belt.

“And you and dos Anjos”, Diaz continued. UFC President Dana White announced that Frankie Edgar and Jose Aldo turned down the short notice fight.

“I’m just going to kill or be killed”, Diaz said.

As for Diaz, he started off by flatly asserting McGregor is on steroids, infuriating the champ.

“How’s it feel to be a millionaire now?” Faced with a curve ball, McGregor and Diaz threw up their hands and said (expletive) it. He congratulated Diaz on becoming rich after signing to fight him.

The controversial statement Diaz roused the attention of not only of the fight fans but also of the whole organization and he will be put to the test once he steps in the Octagon with McGregor, who vows to silence the American and make him eat his own words. McGregor won the 145-pound belt in December, and he has been training for a 155-pound fight with Dos Anjos. “The only weight I give a fuck about is the weight of them checks, and my checks are always super heavyweight, so I don’t give a shit”.

McGregor, the UFC featherweight weight champion, will fight in the 170-pound division after his scheduled bout against 155-pound champion Rafael dos Anjos was called off when dos Anjos withdrew Wednesday because of a broken foot.
