Georgia’s Marshall, Notre Dame’s Fuller post best 40 times
Georgia running back Keith Marshall had the best speed showing of the first day NFL Scouting Combine drills with a 4.31-second 40-yard dash.

Dixon wasn’t known for his top-end speed in college, but an official time in the 4.5 range is solid for a running back. Adidas tweeted, “They sponsor it, but we own it. Break the 40-yard dash record in adizero, win $1 million”. Josh Doctson, another TCU product, tied Oklahoma’s Sterling Shapard for the lead in the vertical jump at 41 inches even. Auburn’s Richard Louis led the way in the broad jump at 11 feet even. Henry came into the combine projected as a second-round pick.
However, teams must look at more than just the talent of the player; studying the person is also key.
The running back tore his ACL in 2013 and only played a total of eight games during the 2013 and 2014 seasons combined.
“This is the slowest class that I can remember”, NFL Media’s Mike Mayock said. “In that way, I’d say my game kind of reflects Tom Brady’s, the competiveness, love for the game and his will and drive to win”. Elliot ran the full 40 in 4.47 seconds.
“I don’t doubt his talent level”, his father Warren Marshall, a sixth-round running back draft pick by Denver in 1987, said in November.
If Marshall can overcome the injuries that stunted his development the last three years at Georgia, he could prove to be one of the best bargains for the National Football League team that invests in his future.
Every year the selections of the NFL teams will tell players which of them the league regards as the “bests”, overall or by position. “I didn’t come up with them at the end of the day”. But in a lot of situations…I wasn’t challenged very much.
