Clinton wins big in South Carolina, Sanders focuses on “Super Tuesday” states
Still, this pales in comparison to how Clinton outright dominated with black voters in the state, which make up the majority of the Democratic electorate. Notably, Clinton’s victory was significantly larger than Barack Obama’s primary victory in the state in 2008, when he beat Clinton by capturing 78 percent of the vote.

In a jab at Sanders campaign for income equality, Clinton said America isn’t a “single-issue country”.
“And I think we’ve got a number of states coming up that we’re going to do extremely well and possibly winning, including California and New York State”.
Hilary Clinton has secured victory against Bernie Sanders in the SC primary.
Clinton’s margin of victory in SC was a staggering 48 points with strong support coming mainly from black voters.
CNN reported that its exit polls showed Clinton won the African American vote 84-16 percent.
Gov. Chris Christie, who bowed out of the Republican race earlier this month, joined Trump on the campaign trail and also targeted Rubio.
“America never stopped being great”, Clinton said. “But, back in 2008 I thought Hillary was the best candidate and here we are, 8 years later, and she’s still the best candidate”.
“Despite what you hear, we don’t need to make America great again”. Instead of building walls, we need to be tearing down barriers. Clinton carried white women 18 points, while Sanders won white men by 14 points.
The South Carolina victory is an important one for Clinton and gives her a boost of momentum heading into Super Tuesday, when voters in more than a dozen states will go to the polls and 865 delegates are up for grabs.
“I think we can win this thing”.
“This campaign is just beginning”, he said in a statement.
Last night Clinton won a landslide victory in SC, by an Obama-in-Hawaii (although not quite Obama-in-Idaho) margin.
Oh, sure, he’ll notch some wins on Tuesday – in his home state, perhaps in MA – but SC demonstrated clearly what lies ahead.
“We got decimated, that’s what happened”, the Vermont senator told NBC’s “Meet the Press“.
There, she is looking directly at Donald Trump, the Republican frontrunner who seems to have a lock on the nomination despite what was reported on Saturday to be a frantic behind-the-scenes effort to unseat him.

Sanders, a veteran senator from Vermont, who commentators say he has struggled to gain traction, has congratulated Ms Clinton.
