Sanders used the rally as a platform to regain momentum ahead of the Super Tuesday contests in 13 states and one territory.

The Vermont senator used the campaign event as an opportunity to urge young voters to become politically involved. Since Colorado uses a caucus system, you have to be a registered Republican or a registered Democrat to vote.

“Colorado can play an enormously important roll in leading this country forward toward a political revolution”, said Sanders.

“The community of people that are supporting Bernie are like-minded people that believe that Bernie actually does have their best interests in mind”, Gast said.

“Getting a higher education in America should not be a punishment”, said Sanders to a cheering crowd. She said affordable education shouldn’t be considered a privilege.

“If all of you come out to vote, and you bring your friends and your neighbors and your coworkers, we are going to win here in Texas”, he said.

Sanders said based on Austin’s event, he’s feeling pretty good about Texas.

A big part of that message, which drew thunderous applause, was when he urged Americans to demand and fight for better, to vote and make sure candidates, jobs, health care, education and retirement are not bought and paid for by the corporations and candidates with the deepest pockets.

“I’m choosing not to study history but to participate in it”, Joe said.

Doors for the event open at 9 a.m., with the program beginning at 10.
