Tottenham’s Schedule Changes Due to Europa League
Pochettino was delighted with his side’s march into the last 16 and believes the display showed the strength in depth of his squad.

Eric Dier insists Tottenham’s players are not even thinking about fatigue as they approach a crunch period in the Barclays Premier League title race.
“We need to assess him day by day”, Pochettino said. “I think this was probably the first big game where we’re heading into the end of the season – this was the first one [against Fiorentina] and we’ve done well so hopefully we can continue this way”. We look forward to two exciting games. Fiorentina are not a typical Italian team in many ways, they play good football and perhaps that will suit us better.
A broken nose suffered in Sunday’s 1-0 reverse at the hands of Crystal Palace in the FA Cup had threatened to derail the club’s progress somewhat, as it seemed that they may be without their clinical talisman for quite some time. They gave us a very tough match but we’ve done well.
“I still fancy Tottenham [to win the Europa League], if they get past Dortmund”, admitted Wright. It is rare territory for who have not finished in the top-three since 1989/90 and whose search for a league title extends back to 1961.
“We can feel this season is very special, the team is doing very well but we’re very calm”, the French goalkeeper said.
Both sides are second in their respective leagues and have aspirations to qualify for next season’s Champions League, which should make the two-legged tie an intriguing affair.
I sure hope so, because should we overcome arguably the most hard side left in the Europa League, there’s nothing stopping us from going all the way.

Former Spurs striker Gary Lineker jokingly tweeted: “Two footballing giants have been drawn together in the Europa league [sic]as Dortmund face Spurs”. – Spurs have fired in more shots on target than any other team in the Premier League this season (170).
