Upon accepting the trophy, Larson thanked the 9-year-old actor who played her son, Jacob Tremblay, and then singled out Greenwald. “I love you, the whole thing”, she said adorably about her boyfriend.

Prior to her latest win, the actress stunned in a powder blue Atelier Versace gown for the Screen Actors Guild Awards. The Best Actress category had a star-studded line-up with Cate Blanchett (Carol), Jennifer Lawrence (Joy), Charlotte Rampling (45 Years) and Saoirse Ronan (Brooklyn).

In the clip, Donoghue reveals that she knew right away “Room” would make a terrific film, so she began writing a screenplay before the book was even published.

Backstage, Larson was given a chance to elaborate on her acceptance speech, during which she dedicated her award to “the men and women who have survived sexual abuse”. The actress told Roberts that filming in the country has reminded her of what she calls her “responsibility” of acting.
