An attorney for Andrews told the jury Tuesday that Andrews felt horror, shame and humiliation when she discovered that someone had secretly filmed her nude and posted the video on the Internet.

In the ongoing lawsuit, jurors will have to determine whether West End Hotel Partners, the franchise owner of the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt, was negligent with regard to keeping Andrews reasonably safe.

Computer expert Dr. Bernard Jansen testified in court on Thursday that he believes the images have been viewed almost 17 million times since being made public in July 2009.

Andrews said she called her father and was screaming and crying while telling him what happened, saying of the video that didn’t know where she was or what exactly she was looking at.

“I just remember crying, and I remember trying to get all of my stuff”, she continued. “This could have been stopped”, she said.

Michael David Barrett, a former insurance executive, discussed the events leading to the film in taped testimony on Monday.

As Erin Andrews pursued her career and gained popularity, working locally in Tampa and then for TBS and ESPN, her father saw a shift. Her therapist stresses that her concerns directly relate to the incident at the Nashville Marriott. If this did play out as Andrews said, ESPN needs to take a long, hard look at their policies, and they need to work hard to improve them for any employees who are victimized in the future. I said: “Could I have Erin Andrews” room.’ They connected me.

At another point, through tears, Andrews said, “I wanted to be the girl next door who loved sports, and now I’m the girl with a hotel scandal…”

Andrews was staying at the Nashville hotel to cover sports for ESPN.

Yes. Because there wasn’t an arrest, because we didn’t know where this happened, my bosses at ESPN told me, “before you go back on air for college football we need you to give a sit-down interview”.

She testified that she has experienced depression, spells of crying and sleeplessness since the video went viral in 2009.

“I don’t want my dad or my boyfriend on the sideline”, she said, because of constant heckling from fans shouting abuse like “I’ve seen your this, I’ve seen your that”.

Barrett pleaded guilty to interstate stalking and was sentenced to 27 months in federal prison on the felony charge.

Ugh. Erin Andrews is still going through the peeping tom nightmare from almost eight years ago.

Barrett’s testimony came first Monday and was presented via a recorded deposition that lasted over two and a half hours.
