New Brita Infinity pitcher orders its own filters via Wi-Fi
Who needs a shopping list-pen-and-ink or mobile or otherwise-when you could hit a button or-in the case of the Brita pitcher and other items-let the pet food bin or water pitcher do the ordering for you?

The new WiFi-connected Infinity smart water pitcher by Brita has a built-in counter that monitors the amount of water that passes through the pitcher’s filter.
In partnership with Amazon Dash Replenishment, buyers of the new Brita Infinity pitcher would need to activate the product on the company’s registry platform. While the service is automatic, consumers stays in control and can manage their orders and deliveries online at any time.
If you use a Brita filtration system regularly then you must have found yourself in a situation when you’re out of filters and need to order new ones. It’s basically created to keep your drinking water fresh and save you from having to do not forget to replace the filter.
It’s all part of Amazon’s Dash Replenishment program that was announced past year: The idea is that as soon as you’re running low on staples like coffee pods (don’t use coffee pods), or laundry detergent, one of the many smart devices in your home automatically buys replacements using your Amazon account.
“We saw an opportunity to work with Amazon to make keeping up-to-date on filter changes effortless for Brita users”, explained Brita general manager, Ed Huber. “With the Brita Infinity Pitcher and Amazon Dash Replenishment, customers will always have clean, great-tasting water”. Brita’s new Infinity pitcher is available now on Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018GGK38S for a suggested retail price of $44.99. Toothbrushes, slow-cookers, and dog collars are just a few, to say nothing of far more expensive products like fridges.

The service for the first connected devices – Brother printers, a GE washer and a Gmate’s blood glucose meter- was rolled out last month. The company is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking.
