Family welcomes Leap Day baby
February 29 only comes around once every few years, so babies born Monday may face difficulty celebrating their birthdays in the future.

Newborns at St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania are being dressed up in green costumes to celebrate their Leap Day births.
Arnot Ogden Medical Center also had a Leap Year baby born Monday.
A pair of parents say they have not decided when the baby’s birthday will be. “We were like, ‘Well with our luck, he’ll be born on a leap year. We think it’s pretty cool”, Katy said.
It’s a happy Leap Day for some lucky Pittsburgh parents!
Modi along with her husband Nish and 5-year-old daughter Jahnvi are overjoyed with the arrival. One of those parents were Kelley and Matthew Bilodeau, of East Hartford.
Mason was born at 7 lbs, 9 oz., and 20 1/2 inches tall. “We plan on celebrating his birthday on the 28th of February. I don’t know but definitely today is the biggest day we’ve ever had in the thirty-two years that I’ve been here”.
“They gave us a due date of March 4th and said it’s got to be about three to five days early and so then it was kind of starting to tick, oh, that would be leap year.”, says Mandy.

Another fun fact about the leap day is that it does not technically occur every four years.
