Chris Christie’s former campaign finance chair slams his endorsement of Donald Trump
On the day in which an atypically high number of states held their primaries and caucuses, the then-senator of IL came out with five more states and 13 more delegates than Clinton in what was deemed a “surprise twist” by the political media.

Trump has sprinted out to his comfortable lead in the state despite Rubio having received the endorsement of most of the state’s top GOP elected officials, including Gov. Sam Brownback, Sen.
Super Tuesday, when a dozen states vote, is the biggest day of the primary season, with the largest single haul of convention delegates at stake.
It will also test whether Rubio’s newfound aggression against Trump – the 44-year-old senator has attacked his business dealings, temperament, looks, age and policy platforms in recent days – will affect voters.
Polls show Cruz leading Trump in his home state of Texas, by about 10 percent.
Below you can find real-time updates and information coming from reporters on campaign front across the country.
Trump, former host of NBC’s “The Apprentice”, has won contests in New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada since finishing second to Cruz in Iowa’s first-in-the-nation caucuses on February 1. Who has the best chance to win which states? Cruz also suggested Trump’s involvement in Atlantic City could have led to connections with the mob.
In Purcellville, Virginia, Rubio brought up a controversial interview Trump had earlier in the day on CNN. “But the important point is…in the general election, Hillary Clinton is going to shine a light on all of this”.
Texas is the home state of U.S. Sen.
“Remember: Friends do not let friends vote for con artists”, Rubio warned at one rally.
Mr Trump’s support also remains widespread across every demographic group, including gender, ideology, age and even education level, while the tycoon’s support lags behind among voters with a college degree.
“Well, just so you understand, I don’t know anything about David Duke. OK?”
The biggest state voting on Tuesday is Texas with 155 Republican delegates.
Cruz has focused his campaign on winning the support of evangelical Christians and the most ideologically conservative voters, and Super Tuesday, with its Southern flavor, was supposed to be his breakout moment.
Twelve states will either vote or caucus.
With Super Tuesday tomorrow, the battle line within the republican Party have been drawn between the #AlwaysTrump and #NeverTrump voters. What Donald wants is – is all of us who are – who are convinced Donald is not the right nominee to be divided, to be splintered.
