Financier Dermot Desmond wealth is estimated at $1.9bn, making him this country’s fourth richest and the world’s 959th. Forbes ranks him as Ireland’s wealthiest person, because he is the husband of Dublin-born Patsy Perin Dubash. This list also notes some of those islanders’ whose net worth changed dramatically from 2015, according to Forbes.

The youngest billionaire in the world is a 19-year-old Norwegain heiress, Alexandra Andresen, who has a 42 per cent stake in her family’s business.

Although most of the people that made the list are probably perfectly content with their billions, there’s one person who believes he should be higher on the list: Donald Trump! After the United States (33), Germany (28) and India (8).
