She has also locked up the support of most of Minnesota’s so-called superdelegates: elected officials and party bigwigs who cast a vote at the convention regardless of the caucus outcome.

Sen. Marco Rubio was also shooting at Trump on Monday as he campaigned in Knoxville, Tennesee insisting Trump is “unelectable”.

Meanwhile, with Trump leading in all the states going to the polls Tuesday except Texas, the New York Times said Trump has an opportunity to amass more delegates and put much more distance between him and Rubio and Cruz.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz made three campaign stops Monday in the Lone Star State, including in Dallas, where Gov. Greg Abbott and former Gov. Rick Perry voiced their support for Super Tuesday.

First of all, primary season isn’t about the number of states you win, but rather the amount of delegates you get, as Marco Rubio so helpfully points out to us.

Republican delegates will be awarded based on results in each of the state’s 11 congressional districts.

After a decisive victory in Saturday’s SC primary, Mrs Clinton has shed almost all references to her Democratic opponent, choosing instead to focus on Mr Trump.

Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey did well in every debate, but it didn’t get translated into significant gains in the polls or in delegate counts. He continued his attack on Trump, calling him a “fake conservative”.

“A disqualifying & disgusting response by @realDonaldTrump to the KKK”, Romney tweeted.

“We’re getting people into the party that they’ve never had before”, he told ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Tuesday. The Klan advocates white supremacy, and has sometimes used violence.

“You can’t tell anything from tax returns because you take deductions, massive deductions and lots of other things”, he said on CNN’s State of the Union show. I’m the person with the most experience in government that is in his circle. The crowd hooted and Trump briefly quieted them.

An Associated Press survey of GOP senators and governors across the country showed just under half of respondents would not commit to backing Trump if he’s the nominee.
