Europa League can save Liverpool season – Toure
“For our team the three points are important if we are to be involved in the title until the end”.

Though the Argentine goalkeeper is second-choice behind Joe Hart in the Premier League and the Champions League, he has been a regular in the cup teams fielded by coach Manuel Pellegrini.
“The Europa League can save the season and the Premier League is not over yet”, Toure told British media.
“Especially the fashion that we won it in against the club we won it against”.
“I was speaking to Phil Thompson on Saturday and we thought whoever won the cup final would probably lose this game”.
Captain Jordan Henderson has backed Liverpool to bounce back immediately from their Capital One Cup final defeat to Manchester City by beating Manuel Pellegrini’s side at Anfield in midweek.
Next up for City is Liverpool again in a league fixture on Wednesday.
Toure was an unused substitute last April but he at least came off the bench against former club City after a clash of heads forced Mamadou Sakho off after 25 minutes. It felt as though we did enough to win but that’s football – sometimes it is cruel.
“We will learn as a team together to lose and we hope we can win next time”.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will have the chance to exact swift revenge on the Eastlands outfit when Pellegrini’s side travel to Anfield in the Premier League on Wednesday night. When you come back like that, you feel as if you have the chance to win it. We had a few chances, they had a few chances as well.
“We have got a great fixture against Manchester United to look forward to which is massive, the fans will love that, we love that and we have just got to pick ourselves up and go again”. City have good players so it was always going to be hard. “When you see what happens over the seasons, you must trust”.

Liverpool are still alive in two competitions and veteran defender Kolo Toure is confident that success on the continent could give a disappointing season some lasting meaning.
