Exit poll finds women, blacks, older voters for Clinton in Virginia, Georgia

On March 1, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, and Virginia will hold Republican and Democratic primaries or caucuses.

This is also a good time to remind Cook County Democratic voters that incumbent State’s Attorney Alvarez should be dumped in favor of challenger Kim Foxx, who now has the endorsement of the Chicago Tribune, Sun-Times and suburban Daily Herald-as well as the Cook County Democratic Party, Sierra Club and Planned Parenthood. With more than 20% of available Democratic delegates and more than 25% of Republican delegates at stake, Super Tuesday is the most important day in the nomination process.

You may have heard the term Super Tuesday bandied about, but what is it?

Virginia voters can participate in a dual primary on Tuesday, as Virginians choose a nominee from both parties to seek the presidency in November.

Super Tuesday will probably not decide the race for Republicans, because of the number of candidates still in the race.

In the five Democratic primary contests since 1984, the four candidates who won big on Super Tuesday went on to win the party’s nomination.
