Primary results: Super Tuesday Springfield results favor Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton
Front-runners Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton today fast tracked their race to the White House after posting big wins in the crucial multi-state “Super Tuesday” primaries to stay on course for clinching their parties’ presidential nominations.

Both are seeking to break out as Mr Trump’s main rival, after the billionaire won in Virginia, Arkansas, Alabama, Massachusetts, Tennessee and Georgia.
Team Cruz also worked hard to cut into Trump’s lead in SC, a state heavily populated with self-identified evangelical voters.
On Tuesday night, victories for Clinton have been called in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia and Arkansas, along with American Samoa. His closest state was in Virginia, but despite doing well in the D.C. suburbs, Trump still pulled out a victory. Democratic Primary, Sanders – who has received significant local support in recent days – won the most votes, followed closely by Clinton.

We won’t know the full results from Tuesday’s votes until Wednesday morning, but all signs suggest that Trump will do well overall. Our party is expanding, and all you have to do is take a look at the primary states where I’ve won.
Trump, the Republican front-runner, had already won three of the previous four nomination contests, putting him ahead of his rivals, particularly Sens.
The tycoon said he is “a unifier” who soon wanted to put internal Republican squabbles behind him to focus on Mrs Clinton. At the start of February, Trump underperformed in the Iowa caucuses, which Cruz won in an upset. “I have been all over this country but I think that it’s the greatest thing to come home and see all my friends”, he said.
Meanwhile, among the Democrats, the evening is going largely as expected – which is little help to Bernie Sanders. The other two candidates in the GOP race are Ohio Gov. John Kasich and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson.
Oklahoma offers 43 delegates for Republicans and 38 delegates for Democrats.
