Samsung rolls out phone upgrade programme for Singapore
The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge were first unveiled on February 21st at the Samsung Unpacked event held at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), Barcelona, Spain.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is priced at Rs. 40,900 ($604.27).
Have you pre-ordered a Samsung Galaxy S7 yet?
The device comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 on board, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
However, while the Galaxy S7 brings a 5.1-inch flat Super AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution and 577 ppi pixel density, the Galaxy S7 Edge has a larger 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen curved around the edges of the phone with Quad HD resolution and 534 ppi pixel density.
Additional leaked promotional materials for the phone seem to back up those details.
If you own a Galaxy S6 Edge or a Galaxy S6 flagship and haven’t received the Marshmallow notification, you can manually check for the update manually, by going to your phone’s Settings’ menu, where the update should be available for an over-the-air download. Those who have a contract can get an early upgrade fee waiver, of up to $350, while those without a contract get $350 off their next Galaxy device. It’s something Apple has done for years, but at least you know you’re getting tweaks rather than a brand new design if you pick up an iPhone 6s. On the contrary, the Galaxy S7 Edge has a 12MP rear camera characterized by an LED flash, a phase detection autofocus technology and f/1.7 aperture. This feature was initially in Galaxy S5 but lacked in Galaxy S6 and now it returns to the 2016 flagships.
According to reports, Samsung is planning to launch Galaxy Note 6 in August 2016 in Europe. Interestingly, there is no S7 Edge+ this year, which means that Samsung must have learned its lesson selling the plus-sized S6 Edge+ and Note 5 together.
The connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, NFC, and microUSB 2.0. On the Galaxy S7, they’ll simply be the same dumb separate storage areas as you’ll have encountered before.
Even though Android 6.0 Marshmallow was officially released in October 2015, it will take few months for the existing handsets to obtain due to various factors involved.
