Dell has said the acquisition of EMC “will create the world’s largest privately-controlled integrated technology company” in the $2-trillion or roughly Rs. 136,53,896 crores ($1.84-trillion) information technology market. His new title is vice chairman and president for operations and client solutions.
Howard Elias and Rory Read, co-Chief Integration Officers, for the Dell|EMC integration. Also part of the Enterprise Systems Group will be: Rodney Rogers, CEO, Virtustream; Amit Yoran, president, RSA; and Rohit Ghai, president, Enterprise Content Division. Bill Scannell, president, enterprise sales, will report to Goulden and lead the global go-to-market organisation serving enterprise customers.
Jeremy Burton, EMC’s president for products and marketing, will become chief marketing officer of the combined company and will oversee brand, marketing and communications.
Steve Price, Chief Human Resources Officer.
EC competition commissioner Margrethe Vestager said she is assured that the deal will not unduly affect key markets in which Dell will now have an enhanced position.
In the memo Dell says Haas, Scannell and Clarke will be “working together over the next few months to determine which accounts and people align to each go-to-market organization”.
The deal must be cleared by antitrust authorities in 16 jurisdictions, including China, Dell Inc.’s parent company, Denali Holding Inc., said in a filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Dell in coming weeks is expected to file an updated SEC proxy statement ahead of an EMC shareholder vote, which is due by early May. Investor concerns also are likely to persist over the Dell acquisition and the issuance of a tracking stock.

“There are still critical decisions to be made about a number of important pieces of the combined company, and some of that work is still ongoing”.
