‘Full House’ and ‘Fuller House’: The similarities and differences
Appreciating “Fuller House” will depend a lot on how much you enjoyed the original, which ran eight seasons on ABC. The Tanner and Gibbler girls have grown up, and after 21 years since the show went off air, the sitcom is finally returning.

Just like Joey and Jesse did for Danny after he lost his wife and they helped raise D.J., Stephanie and Michelle.
Fuller House keeps virtually the same premise intact but gender-switches it up with Danny’s daughter DJ as the widowed mom of three young boys (one of whom is in diapers!) who co-parents with her sister Stephanie and her childhood friend Kimmy, who is also a single mom.
Fuller House is streaming now on Netflix.
The leading ladies of Fuller House – Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, and Andrea Barber – are opening up to defend their new Netflix series from the negative reviews it has received.
The Olsen twins may not be joining the “Full House” reunion on Netflix, but Bob Saget and Lori Loughlin have confirmed they’ll be in the “Fuller House” cast. Saget, Stamos and Coulier pop in throughout the 13-episode season, although the show focuses on the women as they juggle work, parenting and new love interests.
For those who have a Netflix subscription, the reboot of the beloved show about family, friendships, and life in the Golden State is now available for stream, and of course, binge watching.
“I wanted to create an episode that was for the fans, that was in essence nearly the last episode of “Full House” that we never got to do”. “We just kept doing ‘Full House, ‘” Stamos said. “I took a departure from that kind of bias man. He’s a good man”.
To get a glimpse on who will play in the new TV series, here is the list of characters who will appear in “Fuller House”.
Twitter exploded with many fans admitting to gushing tears when “Fuller House” was officially unleashed at 3 a.m. Friday. “I didn’t think about D.J. after the show ended”. “I walked onto the sound stage with Jeff (Franklin, the head writer) for the first time, and I had to pause and stop and take more than a few moments because the emotions really got to me, and I was just crying because I was flooded with so many memories”.
Sweetin’s daughters, 7-year-old Zoie and 5-year-old Beatrix, are fans of the original show and have attended tapings for the revival.

” Full House was, no matter its quality, about upsetting gender expectations…” While it was already confirmed prior to the premiere that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen wouldn’t be reprising their role as Michelle, the series made sure to address the character’s absence within the first five minutes of episode 1.
