Even one of DiCaprio’s rivals for the best-actor statuette, last year’s victor of the same, Eddie Redmayne, says he thinks Leo deserves it, too, according to US Weekly and the Daily Mail. As Kate and Leonardo swayed down the red carpet, they brought back the memories of the time they walked hand-in-hand back in 1998.
While she hasn’t said anything on Leo’s win yet, Kate, on Sunday, February 28 (Monday, February 29 in the Philippines), looked visibly proud of Leo’s win from the audience.
Leonardo DiCaprio’s Oscar bid has been turned into a video game.
Kate is up for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “Steve Jobs”, and Leo is up for Best Actor for his role in “The Revenant”.
He’s already collected acting wins at the Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards and BAFTAs this year.
