Christie’s approval rating drops after backing Trump
Ever since, Christie has been Trump’s wingman, including airport rallies on Super Tuesday.

He looked more than a little awkward Tuesday night at Trump’s news conference.
“And we’re fed up with his continuing travel out of state on New Jersey’s dime, stumping for Trump, after finally abandoning his own presidential campaign”. “Chris Christie is not interviewing or considering any other public job”, Christie said. He briefly came home to New Jersey to, many people presumed, serve, govern, pontificate and continue legislative and legal battle with lawmakers in that state. “No, I wasn’t sitting up there thinking, ‘Oh my God, what have I done?’ I was sitting up there, standing up there, supporting the person who I believe is the best person to beat Hillary Clinton, of the remaining Republican candidates, and it’s why I endorsed him”. Newspapers and state lawmakers – including some Republicans – have in recent days said Christie should resign if he intends to actively campaign for Trump. Social media flared with speculation and ridicule at Christie’s straight face at the side of Trump for over half an hour as the real estate mogul spoke.
The Press reached out to all Republican lawmakers for Monmouth and Ocean counties but didn’t hear back from a lot of them.
“New Jersey voters had a more mixed review of President Barack Obama, with adjectives like “good”, weak”, “ok”, “fair”, and “disappointing”, among the more commonly-used words to describe the president, according to the poll. “If he refuses, citizens should initiate a recall effort”.
As he charted his political rise, Christie stood out among Republicans for gaining support from voters the GOP has traditionally struggled to attract.
The editorial also accused Christie of having contempt for journalists, highlighting his unwillingness to answer “off topic” questions at a news conference announcing the nomination of a state Supreme Court justice on Monday.
And having made quite a show of his tough-talking prosecutor skills on various debate stages during his time in the 2016 presidential race, there may have been some options for Christie in Washington if the next administration is a Republican one. “Watching Christie kiss the Donald’s ring this weekend – and make excuses for the man Christie himself had said was unfit for the presidency – demonstrated how wrong we were”.

Spokesman Kevin Roberts did not reply to an inquiry on when Christie exactly would be back in New Jersey.
