Romney says safe future ‘greatly diminished’ with Trump
“In 1964, days before the presidential election, Ronald Reagan went on national television and challenged America that it was a ‘Time for Choosing, ‘” Romney said in his prepared remarks.

Haley was asked why she wants Trump to release his tax returns when she said similar demands of 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney were a “political ploy”.
When Rubio faulted Trump’s businesses for manufacturing clothing in China and Mexico rather than the U.S., Trump retorted, “This little guy has lied so much about my record”.
Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio head into the 11th debate of the Republican presidential race Thursday in an ever-more urgent scramble to take down Donald Trump – with an ever-more nervous GOP establishment wishing them luck.
The attacks by Romney and other Republicans echo those of Trump’s rivals on the campaign trail, as well as independent organizations that are raising money for campaigns created to prevent the businessman from clinching the nomination.
When the campaign chose to go for it, they went all out.
Trump, in turn, has taken to attacking Romney on Twitter, tweeting “I am the only one who can beat Hillary Clinton”.
“He has neither the temperament nor the judgment to be president”, his speech reads.
“Including superdelegates, the party insiders free to pick either candidate, her total delegate count is now at least 1,038, or 44 percent of the delegates needed to win the nomination”.
“The big victories by Clinton and Trump mean in all likelihood that each will be their party’s nominees for the general election”, Brookings Institution’s senior fellow Darrell West told Xinhua. His campaign reached out to House Speaker Paul Ryan’s office to arrange a conversation between the two men, and urged Republican leaders to view his candidacy as a chance to expand the party.
Presenting himself as a true conservative that Republicans can rally around, Rubio said if elected he would void all of President Obama’s executive orders, as well as the Iran nuclear deal.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is emerging as the candidate who might stop him – with a little help from Florida Sen. Rubio picking up his first victory of the 2016 race. Most of the remaining Bible Belt states hold their primaries over the next two weeks – culminating in March 15 contests in Florida, Missouri, and North Carolina. Both Trump and Clinton won in seven states Tuesday night.
Trump has uttered barely a peep about the fact that Fox News Channel is hosting the debate, and that his sometime-nemesis Megyn Kelly, is one of the moderators.
