Lead-up to Super Tuesday brings final push, fresh attacks

“Donald Trump is unfit to be president”, said Ms. Whitman in a statement to NBC News.

Ahead of Super Tuesday, Republican presidential candidate and Florida senator Marco Rubio used Virginia as a launching pad to “expose” what he claimed as “the other side” of his main rival and party front runner Donald Trump.

On Super Tuesday, there are 595 Republican delegates (about 25 percent of the total number) available, and 1,004 Democrat delegates available.

Rubio maintains that a majority of Republican voters do not want Trump to be the nominee and will support whoever is left standing.

“Maybe those tax returns show that those business dealings are a lot more extensive”, Cruz said on ABC’s “This Week”. “Donald is not going to make America great, he is going to make America orange!”

Campaigning is hitting fevered-pace in the United States, as would-be Presidential candidates make their final pitch ahead of “Super Tuesday”.

He added, however, that he doesn’t think that will happen. Cruz said that Trump’s past praise of Clinton, as well as his donation to the Clinton Foundation, would neutralize any GOP attacks against the former secretary of state.

Cruz trails the real estate mogul by nearly 13 points nationally, 33.2 percent to 20.3 percent, according to a RealClearPolitics average of national polls.

The acerbic tenor of Rubio’s attacks reflected the panic among party establishment who were eagerly looking for a viable alternative to Trump before Super Tuesday on March 1, when 11 states would hold either primaries or caucuses on a single day, and Florida and OH primaries on March 15, when the victor of polls would take all delegates. That’s been his approach since a GOP debate in Texas on Thursday. “And we are fighting hard to beat [Trump] across the country”.

“He’s always calling me “Little Marco” … and I’ll admit he’s taller than me, he’s 6’2″ which is why I don’t understand why he has hands the size of someone who’s 5’2″.

“The fact of the matter is”, Christie continued, “there won’t be any question about Mr. Trump’s strength and his resoluteness in terms of getting the things done that he’s wanted to get done”. Kasich’s true focus is on trying to win Michigan’s March 8 primary before going on to capture Ohio’s 66 delegates a week later.

Most of the income came from a business that collected royalties on two books: Rubio’s memoir An American Son and another called American Dreams. It’s not a Trump suit”, he said, as supporters tore at the sign and chanted, “Marco!

Advisers to Clinton increasingly believe Trump is more likely than not to be the Republican nominee and Clinton is responding as such.
