Fox News reports that for Democrats, Super Tuesday holds the possibility of picking up 865 delegates, while the Republicans are in a race to earn as numerous 595 delegates as possible.

With almost 80 percent of Texas precincts reporting, Cruz has 42.6 percent of that vote. The lonestar state has 222 Democratic delegates to be earned and 155 Republican delegates.

With 27.6 percent of the vote, Trump has 14 pledged delegates in Texas.

“A win is winning Texas”, Ted Cruz said in anticipation of the big day-a crucial point in his campaign. For the Republicans, it gives Cruz the momentum to compete with Trump.
