The session touts a talk from Niantic founder and CEO John Hanke, who planned to unveil the unique vision for delivering a mobile Pokemon experience to the masses that would take folks outside and treat them to both capturing and battling Pokemon in a real-world setting. Pokémon Go was announced in September 2015 for a 2016 release, but as another quarter arrives and a solid release date yet to be confirmed, it would seem the Niantic team are feeling the crunch. “The Pokemon Go field test program will give a limited number of users early access to the app. These users will have the opportunity to share early feedback and help improve the Pokemon Go experience for everyone prior to public launch”.
