WWE WrestleMania 32: 5 Reasons This Year is a Failure

While it was Roman Reigns last week, Dean Ambrose was the recipient of a brutal attack by the champ on this Monday’s Raw, but Ambrose didn’t come away entirely empty-handed, as his challenge for a World Heavyweight Championship match with The Game was accepted for WWE Roadblock in Toronto next Saturday night. The build is already there considering the history with Ambrose and Reigns, so that would be the main event at WM 32. Tonight’s episode of Smackdown features the rematch between Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch to determine the #1 Contender for Charlotte’s Divas Championship. With Daniel Bryan announcing his retirement, Ambrose is now the WWE’s most popular star.

With Roman Reigns recovering from nasal surgery, WWE made a decision to fill the void left by Reigns with his cohort, Dean Ambrose. Owens then tried to attack Ambrose, but Ambrose decked Owens with the chair to send him packing.

This time last year, we were hailing WrestleMania 31 as the most unpredictable incarnation of the event to be seen in years – a show which could have gone catastrophically wrong (and nearly did), before WWE somehow pulled it out of the bag.

July 2015 – The Undertaker returns at Battleground to avenge his WrestleMania 30 loss to Brock Lesnar. And while it’s possible the venue has dated advertising, even WWE’s own live events page still lists Ambrose for both shows. Also you cant bring Lesnar down to fight Kevin Owens for the Intercontinental Title as that would basically be a demotion, as much as we would love to see it. The Usos by pinfall after Sheamus nailed the Brogue Kick on Jimmy Uso.

He could have easily rolled into Atlanta for his match with Kofi Kingston, been distracted by Big E and Xavier Woods at ringside and have lost just his second match in WWE. After The League of Nations had won, The Dudleys arrived to deliver a beat down, and set up a table right there on the spot. The Dudley Boyz’ music hit and they made their way to the ring with a table.

Match 2 – Dolph Ziggler vs Miz: This match was shorter than the commercial break before it. Ziggler grabbed up the win when he side stepped Miz’s corner lariat, and put him into a backslide for the three-count. Owens then complained about not having a challenger at WrestleMania, while Ambrose told Owens to be nicer to people.

Predicting Ambrose’s next few months leaves him with a bleak outlook for the summer. That would leave Brock Lesnar up in the air which would be a huge blow to Lesnar’s build for the event and make everything seem forced. Ambrose followed up with an elbow drop, ending the taping for that night.
