What to watch at tonight’s Republican debate in MI

“Donald Trump has been perhaps the most vulgar – no I don’t think perhaps – the most vulgar person to ever aspire to the presidency in terms of how he’s carried out his candidacy”, he told CNN’s Alisyn Camerota on “New Day”.

Trump responded by calling Romney “a failed candidate.” “Because I don’t know if you noticed, but the convention is in OH”.

While Trump apologized for referring to Rubio as a “lightweight” before, he kept knocking Rubio as “little Marco” in another not-so-veiled attack at the other man.

The pair said they support Trump because of his stances on immigration. But, the Florida senator said “let’s start talking again” about the issues. “I believe with all my heart and soul that we face another time for choosing, one that will have profound consequences for the Republican Party and more importantly, for the country”, Romney said, via NBC.

Trump is all too familiar with Romney’s 2012 presidential loss against President Barack Obama. Eight months later, Trump is the undisputed front-runner and is on stage with just three rivals: Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and John Kasich.

The debate was the four remaining candidates’ first face-to-face encounter since Super Tuesday nominating contests this week gave extra momentum to Trump but did not knock out his rivals. He called Trump “a phoney ” and “a con man” who is “playing the American public for suckers”, a man whose “imagination must not be married to real power”. His foreign policies would make America and the world less safe.

“This campaign for the a year ago, Donald Trump has basically mocked everybody with personal attacks”.

Ted Cruz: He’s guilty of fraud. The word “flexible” and a remark by Cruz telling Trump to “breathe” and not interrupt him, led to a moment of levity when Rubio chimed in with “when they’re done with the yoga, can I answer a question?” According to Twitter’s stats, Trump gained the most followers during the debate, followed by Kasich, Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton, Cruz, then Rubio.
