No double switch: Brewers say it’s same Hank the dog
There is only one Hank. And after that news conference, Brewers COO Rick Schlesinger joined us live on the CBS 58 News at 4.

However, those differences are due to love, a good home and a good groomer.
“Hank the ballpark pup is still Hank the ballpark pup”.
“This is definitely the original Hank”, Schlesinger said, reading from a notarized report written by Dr. William S. Rice of Lakeside Animal Hospital.
Hoping to put an end to speculation that Hank, the Milwaukee Brewers’ unofficial mascot, was swapped for another dog of the same breed, the team held a news conference Friday to assure the media and fans that it was indeed the same dog.
The clinching evidence was a microchip scan by two independent sources, which matched the microchip placed in Hank in 2014.
In January 2015 Hank was named “Dog of the Year”.
And while conspiracy theorists can never be sated, the rest of us can be assured that when we cheer for that cute little dog running around the field in a costume, it’s the bonafide, original, unstoppable Hank the Ballpark Pup.
“Every day at the Wisconsin Humane Society, we see animals transform from scraggly strays to healthier, stunning pets simply because of excellent care and good grooming. This technology not only helps to reunite lost animals with their families, but in Hanks’s case, verifies that he is indeed the true Hank”.
The Brewers trotted out a veterinarian, who said the dog’s implanted ID microchip confirms it.

He moved to Milwaukee later that spring and was adopted by the family of Brewers Vice President and General Counsel Marti Wronski.
