Fox News Republican debate looks to be 2016 TV audience high

Romney told NBC’s “Today” on Friday that he sees “no reasonable scenario” to run again, but added that he will not vote for Trump or Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

The two shouted over each other at times and Trump at one point made an off-color joke about the size of his hands. He called Trump “a phoney ” and “a con man” who is “playing the American public for suckers”, a man whose “imagination must not be married to real power”.

And finally, Florida Sen.

Early in the debate, Rubio was asked about breaking his promise not to make vulgar jokes and personal attacks during the campaign.

The video reflects a growing concern for the GOP that as Democrats line up behind Clinton, the Republicans’ infighting will become a liability in a general election.

Trump has blasted Romney for his criticism, calling him “a failed candidate” and a “choke artist” and pointing out that Romney actively sought his endorsement during the 2012 campaign. Trump responded in kind in his own campaign speech later in the day.

USA senators Rubio, of Florida, and Cruz, of Texas, questioned Trump’s immigration policy and his use of foreign workers at his exclusive Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida. “I know it’s hard, but just -” Cruz said.

Trump kept up the needling when Rubio said the frontrunner wasn’t in the mood to give straight answers: “Don’t worry about it, Little Marco”.

Cruz then began to instruct Trump in breathing exercises.

But any number of predictions that GOP voters would unite behind one anti-Trump candidate have come and gone without a change in the overall dynamic.

At the debate, Mr Trump, 69, was questioned for the first time since a year ago by Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, who angered him with her questioning at the Republicans’ first debate on August 6, prompting him to cancel participation in a debate in Iowa in January, a move that appeared to cost him some votes.

“True. Trump has put his name on some bad investments”, Colbert said.

The last Fox News debate lacked Trump, who boycotted the debate and hosted a fundraiser instead.

Trump, with 10 state victories, continues to dominate the conversation and the delegate count.

“Look at Super Tuesday, the week before it”, he said. It takes 1,237 delegates to win the Republican nomination for president.
