Game Recap: Lakers Fall To Hawks Without Kobe Bryant, Jordan Clarkson
He even took off the shoes on his feet, signed them and gave them to young fans. “I think he comes sometimes to support his guys, sometimes he just stays home to get his treatment and get his rest”.

With the exception of Julius Randle, who notched his 26th double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds, the Lakers have a night to forget immediately.
While Kobe Bryant’s farewell tour might be the storyline that every Lakers fan and National Basketball Association fan is following, they should be following the emergence of rookie point guard D’Angelo Russell, who’s been on an absolute tear as of late.
The Hawks had six players in double figures, with Dennis Schroder leading the group with 16 points on 6-10 shooting.
Russell isn’t just providing a scoring boost, either; he’s averaging 4.71 assists post-all-star break, 1.39 more than his average through the first 53 games of the season.
Kobe Bryant didn’t play much of the L.A. Lakers’ Wednesday night game against the Denver Nuggets, but he did play a game of another sort with some fans.
Jeff Teague began the scoring with an easy layup on the first play of the game before D’Angelo Russell’s three gave the Lakers an early 3-2 lead.
Bryant was one of the first players to enter the league straight out of high school. They closed within 13 in the third when the Hawks went on a 9-2 run that stretched their lead to 69-49. The Hawks would continue to pour it on offensively as Tim Hardaway Jr. knocked down a three with 1:15 left to increase the lead to 30.
Kyle Korver was effective in the game, knocking down all four of his three-point attempts and finishing 5-6 from the field for 15 points in 29 minutes. No longer obsessed with dominating his opponent, with the Lakers now the worst team in the Western Conference at 12-50, Bryant has taken a light-hearted approach to his final season.
