New auto seat prevents kids left in cars
That means, as far as we know so far: smart devices, good design, and good value.

The high temperatures in the summer season often leads to tragic deaths such as the case of an 11-month-old baby who died of heatstroke this month in Florida.
The new auto seat is aimed at keeping parents from leaving their child behind in a hot vehicle.
Available Thursday on Walmart’s website, the Evenflo Advanced SensorSafe Embrace infant seat uses a wireless receiver that plugs into a car’s On Board Diagnostic port and syncs with a chest clip that goes around the baby.
Kinda reminds me of how most “smart cars” these days will beep like mad if you don’t buckle your seat belt… only this one’s in reverse, where you’ll hear an alarm if your baby isn’t unbuckled.
That receiver links with a sensor in the chest clip of the auto seat.
The Evenflo Embrace DLX Infant auto Seat with SensorSafe technology comes equipped with a sensor that sounds an alarm after the ignition is turned off to remind parents that there is a baby in the back seat.
Walmart isn’t kidding around when it comes to protecting babies. The child involved was rescued by a police officer.

“So this is a reminder using Wi-Fi, using a sensor to keep your baby safe”, Tanz added during an interview with Today.
