NEW YORK (AP) The 16.9 million people who saw Fox News Channel’s coverage of the Republican presidential debate on Thursday has made it the fourth most-watched debate in a primary season ever.
Many wondered if businessman Donald Trump would participate in the Fox News-sponsored event after he skipped the last one the network hosted. But as they engaged in shouting matches and a mud fight in Thursday’s GOP debate over shouts and boos from audience members, Kasich chose to speak simply and forcefully during his few moments about his experience and his appeal to moderates.
