Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14279 is a Redstone release and brings with it additional language and regional support for Cortana in addition to new functionality for the digital assistant.

Microsoft today issued another Windows 10 preview to its Insider testing group, the seventh so far this year.
In a blog post on Friday, Microsoft wrote: “For each new market and language, the Cortana Team works to develop a custom experience that is relevant in each individual market and language”.
“In Brazil, Cortana is fond of pasteis which is a common food found in many regions across Brazil”. For example, for Mexico, the voice of Cortana has been adapted to reflect the focus of the country.
With this update, Cortana can also help you save information you need to remember. Otherwise, you can just say something like, “remind me to buy milk”.
At the same time, Cortana can now reminders even if they’re only partially filled out; it means that the assistant can remind the users about something even if they didn’t specify a time, location or person.
An issue where Microsoft Edge and Cortana were crashing for users with roaming profiles.
The company also fixed an issue in which Cortana would constantly show reminders that were already completed.
We fixed an issue where downloading certain drivers from Windows Update was causing some PCs to bluescreen.
Updated Logon Experience: “Previously on PC, there were two separate backgrounds for the Lock screen and then the logon screen”. Unless you’re using Windows Spotlight.
Hackers are regularly hitting devices and Microsoft intends to add Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection to Windows 10. The change isn’t monumental, but allows the user to have the same custom background in both instances. If the lock and logon screens share the same image, showing an advertisement on the first – which is what some users have seen during the past week – would also display it on the logon screen.
We are continuing to track several issues reported by Insiders where some PCs will freeze or bluescreen when resuming from hibernation.
Windows has introduced a lot many features in the new latest version of its operating system but the company still fails to justify the software with apt hardware.
