Nate Diaz mocks Conor McGregor’s fighting stance at weigh

The attendance. Everything keeps rising. “I always step up for the fans”. With no title and no history on the line, there had been expectations that the headline bout of UFC 196 would fail to match the wild atmosphere of McGregor’s two most recent outings in the fight capital. Four fights from the preliminary card will air live on Fox Sports 1 at 5 p.m., with the first fight scheduled for 3:30.

In Diaz, McGregor sees a slower fighter who is predictable in his movements. “Every single fight, I’ve taken a risk”. Champions should be able to go up and down and fight any challenge that comes before them.

This will be the first opponent McGregor has faced in the UFC that will likely not move backwards much. At 27 years of age I now hold the key to this game.

McGregor, who is coming off a swift victory over Jose Aldo at UFC 194, has never fought at welterweight, but he is still viewed as the favourite against the long-time lightweight.

‘He said he was going to do this and do that but now that we’re up here, he’s saying absolutely nothing, he’s sitting in a little shell so let’s see what he’s got.

“I mean dos Anjos is an absolute bum”, he continued. Given that he revealed at Wednesday’s Open Workouts that 170-pound champ Robbie Lawler is his leading option for a UFC 200 showdown, a win at UFC 196 would be essential to cement his claim.

Both fighters are known for their trash talking as their night ended with a near brawl.

“Nobody has ever done this – 145 pounds going to 170”, White said. “I really just hope we can see a great fight but if my money was out there, I’m putting it on Conor”. It’s impressive, it’s fun. I love competition, I love fighting.

“Nate Diaz tends to, when he extends on his punches, he’s very long and there’s a lot of volume, but because he stands so heavy on his legs he takes awhile to retract on his punches”, Stann said.

“It’s a comparison that has been thrown at me a few times but I can not accept a comparison like that”. There were many, many options but in reality, many people pretended they wanted the fight until the fight actually presented itself.

“Everybody thinks this is a walk-over fight, and it’s not”.

Holm and Tate grinned as they watched from the stage while McGregor and Diaz lobbed insults at each other.

Wells asked Diaz about his financial dreams and at what point he thinks he’s made it in the industry financially.

“2015 was its biggest year”. I want to do well for my team who have helped me get here. “All the channels, all the platforms, the numbers continue to rise”. “His guy jumped in, I had my friend’s back”.
